This could be interpreted as slash, as there is a hint of a relationship between Adam and Tommy. But it's mostly just a story about Tommy and how he feels about his life now that he's gotten this great gig. It's a small moment that digs into his character and insecurities a lot. Very good, very underrated.

Adam is burned while rescuing a child from a fire in Costa Rica. He, Allison & Kris are there as part of Idol Gives Back. Joan is a middle-aged woman from Texas who is also there doing charity/mission work.
Reason for rec? (optional) This fic is a few years old, but it and its larger counterpart remain some of my favorite Adam fic.
