Summary: This is a deleted scene from the longer piece, Love Speaks Through (http://ficdirectory.livejournal.com/tag/title%3A%20love%20speaks%20through). Adam is burned while rescuing a child from a fire in Costa Rica. He, Allison & Kris are there as part of Idol Gives Back. Joan is a middle-aged woman from Texas who is also there doing charity/mission work.
Reason for rec? (optional) This fic is a few years old, but it and its larger counterpart remain some of my favorite Adam fic.
